On 3rd December 2009, the deputy general manager of CCBC (Canada China Business Council) Mr. Yehua Zhao was invited to have a cooperation talk with Mr. Lei Pei, our Managing Partner in Beijing King & Bond Law Firm.

     During the talk, Mr. Zhao mentioned that the CCBC is an established 30-year-old non-profit making organization with the aim at promoting trade and investment between the two states. It is necessary for the members to gain the legal services relating to international investment and the founding of new corporations; In addition, he stated that the Canadian companies in China were very interested in the legal counsel, due diligence, the examining and verifying of contracts and other legal services as well. Thus, these companies are pleased with our recommendation of conducting such legal services co-operation. In accordance with the legal questions raised by Mr. Zhao, Mr. Pei answered in detail to illustrate the current rapid development of international legal services in King & Bond, focusing on not only the rich experiences in international trade, international IP Right Protection and the establishment of companies, but also the advantages of the new management model of the Law Firm and the lawyers specialization vs. cooperation. Moreover, Mr. Pei analyzed what were the differences between King & Bond and other legal organizations and why King & Bond gained more advantages from others as well.

      Accordingly, the CCBC and King & Bond not only identified with the excellence performances of each other, but also achieved a favorable initial legal cooperation intention.
