On 18th December 2009, Beijing King & Bond Law Firm was invited to participate in the 2009 Annual Meeting of CCOIC (China Chamber of International Commerce) in Grand Hyatt Beijing. This meeting was sponsored by CCOIC and supported by CCPIT (China Council for the Promotion of International Trade). Ms Yating Sun and Ms Gangqin Zhu, the account managers of King & Bond, attended the meeting.

     Around the theme of the Meeting— “to enhance international competitiveness of enterprises in the economic restructuring”, the chairman of CCOIC Mr. Jifei Wan, the vice-chairman of CPPCC (National Committee of the Chinese Political Consultative Conference Mr. Lichen Bai, the vice-president of Bank of China Mr. Min Zhu, the Chairman of the Board of Directors in Jinwei International Group Limited Mr. Jinwei Chen and many other government or business leaders delivered speeches and discussions, mainly focusing on the Independent Innovation vs. international competitiveness, M & A abroad vs. international competitiveness, corporate governance vs. international competitiveness and so forth. Particularly a discussion of Intellectual Property protection (IP Right Protection) was pushed in the spotlight. Plenty of enterprises were inspired.

     After the Meeting, Beijing King & Bond Law Firm obtained more confidence to develop the IP Right business further, which has always been one of the cores of the legal business’ development. Based on the integrated system of non-violation-complaint, the Right Protection and litigation, it is believed that the IP Right Protection service in King & Bond will be extended and optimized in the progress of paying more attention on the globalization and innovation.
